EquiPulse^® PEMF Technology and Devices

Magnus Magnetica’s family of EquiPulse PEMF devices are used for rehabilitation and preventative care and can be found at international race tracks, in stables and used by Veterinarians, farriers, therapists, trainers and owners and is widely used to condition all types of sport horses around the world.

EquiPulse PEMF therapy increases the cellular level of oxygen absorption. Formal studies have shown that oxygen partial pressure can be increased by 200%. This reduces pain associated with lack of sufficient oxygen. Also, insufficient oxygen in the cells causes lactic acid buildup under strenuous exercise.

EquiPulse PEMF therapy improves circulation, not by increasing heartbeat or blood pressure, but by opening and dilating the arteries and capillaries. This also reduces edema.

How many different models are sold under the EquiPulse Brand.

There are four primary models designated with the name Magnus Pro
Each is then identified as with a “X1” or “X2”. A X1 is a single output device and X2 is a dual output device, meaning either one accessory or two accessories can be attached and operated independently from one another.
Each device is also identified with a “HP” or “MP”. A “HP” device is a high powered device and “MP” is a mid-powered device. All models start with a low powered setting. Each model has the ability to increase their output with either a rotatable knob or a membrane switch, with pressable buttons.

What is MP/MF™ and why are they different from other PEMF devices?

MP/MF™ Models are completely different from all other competitive PEMF devices, including the Magnus Pro X1 HP (also a solid state device).

How so? Almost all PEMF devices only deliver one frequency at a time, at each intensity setting or each program setting. However, our MP/MF PEMF devices have two completely separate devices inside. Each model’s circuit board will deliver a primary treatment frequency of 7.33 Hz, while the other has selectable intensities/frequencies.

MP/MF PEMF delivers the most crucial physiological response needed for the accelerated therapeutic benefits our technology is known for. That is: The percussive muscular contraction which drastically increases blood flow in vaso-dilated capillaries/micro-capillaries, the mechanical break up of intra-muscular adhesions and the fast reduction of inflammation in locally treated areas.

Combining a multitude of frequencies, delivered in one single treatment cycle, these revolutionary PEMF devices will provide a powerful physiological response to treat musculoskeletal conditions, along with much more effective treatment outcomes for neurological issues, skin wound healing and other medical indications. The pulsed electrical energy that is sent through the loops is created by proprietary power transformers, capacitors, transistors etc. There are essentially no moving parts in these devices.

What about Electrical Safety Testing ?

Our solid state devices have obtained Electrical Safety Certifications, as a medical device, from InterTek. These Electrical Safety Certifications require compliance with US and European regulations, which are much stricter than that of consumer electronics. No other manufacturer of Mid and High Powered PEMF devices in the US Market have commenced electrical safety testing.

How do I or my staff receive training on any of the PEMF Devices?

When potential buyers inquire about EquiPulse PEMF Training their backgrounds can include a wide variety of skill sets within their respective disciplines and personal or professional experience. Rather than require a standard certification or training template for the new EquiPulse Technician, Magnus Magnetica formats and provides training based upon the actual needs of the Buyer. Those candidates who have little or no medical background (whether human or animal) will require far more support, education and hands on training than an experienced and licensed Equine Vet, Registered Vet Technician, Trainer or individual who has been working with horses for years and is familiar with a variety of therapeutic modalities. Magnus Magnetica has over a decade worth of implementing the EquiPulse in our country’s top Equine Therapeutic Centers, Veterinary Clinics/Hospitals, coupled with some of the most highly regarded Equine Sports Therapists in the USA. This provides the new buyers with all the necessary resources required to develop an effective understanding of best practices and effective treatment protocols, which are based upon their individual training needs.

How are these PEMF devices Warrantied and for how long?

All PEMF devices are warrantied, by the manufacturer, to operate properly for a period of three (3) years from the date of the original purchase invoice. Magnus Magnetica automatically includes an Extended Limited Warranty for 7 additional years for PEMF devices. Magnus Magnetica provides Loaners at no cost for the first 6 months of ownership. After 6 months and prior to the 2nd year of ownership, a Loaner will be supplied at a low daily rate that nominally increases with each passing year of ownership.

Are there some basic specifications that are common across all models?

Stall wall brackets are included, so the device can be placed off the floor at chest height, for safe application, when used on large animals.
